Dry semi finished Liners are supplied with a finished outside diameter and a semi finished bore, the bore being ready for final machining after the liner has been pressed into the block.

These liners are with or without a flange, as they are retained in position mostly by interference fit. It is, of course, necessary to machine the cylinder block or housing to accept liners of this type, unless similar liners have been fitted previously.

Westwood Cylinder Liners are fine bored internally within an allowance of 0.020" to 0.040" generally, for finishing the liner after fitment into the block or housing.
